We built EGP around doing the work underneath properly.
Proper preparation, honest assessment and careful workmanship come first. Whether we're restoring tired weatherboards, repairing interior surfaces or repainting a commercial property, we treat the condition beneath the finish as seriously as the finish itself.
Our story
Where the Standard comes from
Erwin Pudol got into painting through friends — there were plenty of painters in his street growing up — and started EGP Decorator Limited because he was confident in his own skill and workmanship. What he had seen too often was the other kind of job: failing paint sanded lightly and coated over, wallpaper painted straight over, plaster cracks filled and forgotten. It looks fine on handover day. It doesn't last.
So EGP was built around one principle: don't hide problems under another coat of paint. That principle became the three words the company stands for — Excellence in the work, Groundwork before the finish, Precision in every detail — and the seven-step Surface-to-Finish Standard that every job follows.
Today EGP is founder-led and team-delivered. The team and equipment are matched to the scope of each project — from a single room to a body corporate exterior or a commercial fit-out — and every job, whatever its size, starts with a free site assessment and a written quote.
