Paint Stripping & Timber Restoration
Failed paint stripped back to bare timber and rebuilt properly.
Restoration & Preparation · EGP Surface-to-Finish Standard
When paint has failed down to the wood, painting over it doesn't fix anything. We strip weatherboard and timber back to sound, bare wood, treat it, and rebuild the paint system from the primer up.
How we approach it
Prepare
Old paint stripped back to bare, sound timber — not sanded over and hidden.
Restore
Weathered and damaged boards assessed, treated and repaired where needed.
Finish
A primer suited to bare, weathered wood, then a full topcoat system built back up.
What's included

Common questions
How do I know if I need stripping instead of just a repaint?
If paint is flaking, bubbling, or you can see bare timber in patches, a straight repaint won't hold. We'll tell you honestly at the site visit which approach the job actually needs.
What about lead-based paint on older homes?
Older coatings can contain lead. We assess the likelihood at the site visit and plan the stripping method, dust control and clean-up accordingly.
